As a leading rock drilling tools manufacturer, HENGLONG supplies shank adapters compatible with most models of current rock drill machines. All HENGLONG shank adapters are made from premium steel, then carburized and CNC-machined. Thus, they gain superior toughness and anti-fatigue strength-enough to meet the most demanding drilling conditions. Moreover, we can manufacture all shanks with either male or female threads, fully tailored to a customer's specific requirements.
The shank adapter functions to transmit rotation torque, feed force and impact energy, and convey flushing medium, to the drill string (extension drill rods, drifting drill steels included). Therefore, HENGLONG shank adapters-crafted from specially selected materials and hardened via carburizing-are designed to withstand the high impact power of modern rock drills. HENGLONG currently offers around 300 different shank adapters, each compatible with specific rock drills such as Atlas Copco series drifters, Sandvik series drifters, Tamrock series drifters and Garden Diver series drifters.

Application
Male shank adapters are generally better suited for drifting, tunneling and extension applications where high bending stresses are present. Female shank adapters, by contrast, are used in scenarios where drilling space is limited and total feed length matters-for instance, in underground roof bolting.
